The development and implementation of an integrated database system is amongst our priorities.
This system is intended to improve access to information for the Observatory's user groups.

At present we offer access to:

MAVISE - Database on television channels and television companies in the European Union

This database provides basic data on all the television channels accessible in the European Union and the two candidate countries (Croatia and Turkey). MAVISE contains key information on more than 5,100 companies, over 7,400 television channels and the line-up of approximately three hundred distributors.

LUMIERE - Database on admissions for films released in Europe

The database LUMIERE provides a systematic compilation of available data on admissions of films released in European cinemas since 1996. The database is the result of the collaboration between the European Audiovisual Observatory and the various specialised national sources as well as the MEDIA Programme of the European Union.
