Yearbook Online Premium Service

The electronic & print version

The Yearbook Online Premium Service is the European Audiovisual Observatory's answer to the increasing demand among professionals for readily available electronic statistical data at its earliest stage.

The subscription includes the online access to the tables/graphs of the 2 volumes (1) as well as the delivery of the complete 2 volume collection as they are published (partial online access, i.e. access to tables of a single volume, is NOT possible).

Reference Data

The Yearbook Online Premium Service is the online companion to the Yearbook - Television, cinema, video and on-demand audiovisual services in Europe. It provides a wide range of statistical data on the three main industry branches of the audiovisual sector in Europe: the film industry, television and video/DVD. The figures are available in Excel tables and graphs, the text in PDF version.

Technical Requirements

All you need to subscribe to the Premium Service is: access to the Internet, an e-mail address, and the technical capacity to download Excel and PDF files. Online access to tables in Excel format allows highest flexibility in working with the data.

Two possibilities of access

  1. Single-user access: Access for one person through a personalised account (username and password). The password allows you personal priority access to data wherever you may be.

  2. Multi-user access: Access opened for the computer network of your company/organisation (through a single IP address, usually the firewall or gateway of your IT network) to enable all employees to work with the Online Premium Service simultaneously without a password.

Data delivery schedule

The Online Premium Service allows you to access the Yearbook data at least one month prior to the publication release. As a subscriber, you will be notified by e-mail as soon as new data becomes available.

Terms and Conditions

All data accessed or downloaded from the Yearbook Online Premium Service must be kept confidential and shall not be communicated to anyone outside the subscribing company. Clients engage themselves to take all necessary precautions to avoid non authorised reproduction and dissemination of the data received.

Access to the database is exclusively reserved for subscribers. Subscribers shall not communicate the access code to any third person.

The European Audiovisual Observatory is relying on external data sources and cannot entirely guarantee the publishing schedule. It therefore reserves the right for modifications.

(1) Statistics published via the Online Premium Service correspond generally to the content of the printed book except for data on advertising (source: The European Advertising and Media Forecasts) and on imported fiction on TV (source: ETS) for which rights to electronic publication have not been granted.
