Description

Patrizia Simone joined the Department for Market Information of the Observatory in May 2015. Her responsibilities focus on the production of statistical and market analysis on the European film industry, including reports on gender equality and the export of European works. She is also in charge of managing LUMIERE, the Observatory’s database on film admissions in Europe, and co-authors the yearly report FOCUS - World film markets trends. 

After graduating in Film Studies and Cultural Management, she obtained a M.Sc. in Social and Cultural Anthropology from University College London.

Before moving to Strasbourg, she worked at the European Commission’s EACEA (Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency), assisting the MEDIA Unit in the implementation of Creative Europe.

Previously, she has also worked in cultural organisations, communication agencies and NGOs across Europe and interned at European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) in Vienna.
