39 different European and international professional organisations representing the various branches of the audiovisual industries make up the Advisory Committee of the European Audiovisual Observatory. Sectors such as film production, distribution, exhibition, public and private broadcasting, on-demand services and the press are represented within this body. In addition, the European Commission and Eurimages also take part in the Advisory Committee deliberations as observers.

Laura Houlgatte, CEO of the International Union of Cinemas (UNIC) was elected to the chair of the Observatory’s Advisory Committee during their meeting on 20th September 2024. Her term of office starts on the first of January 2025.
