The Annecy European Animation Summit is held as part of the International Animation Film Market (Mifa), bringing together policymakers, European institutions and industry professionals to discuss the future of animation in Europe.
The Summit aims at strengthening the European animation model by addressing key issues such as financing, competitiveness, cultural sovereignty, platform regulation and the circulation of works and talent.
The summit will take place on Wednesday, 24 June 2026 in Annecy (Salle de l’Europe - Mifa).
Nicolas Edmery, our Film Analyst, will open the event at 9.15 by presenting fresh data on European animation films released in cinemas.
The Annecy European Animation Summit is organised in partnership with CNC, Creative Europe, Animation in Europe, CineRegio, Europa International, Europa Cinemas, Eurimages, European Audiovisual Observatory, EFAD, Anima Mundi and Unifrance.
