The European Audiovisual Observatory is presenting the 2025 edition of our KEY TRENDS report at the opening session of Series Mania Forum.
This year we zoom in on the role of broadcasters in TV series production
We ask :
- Are broadcasters’ revenues under pressure and how could this affect investments in TV series?
- Why do we do coproductions?
- How do broadcasters trade off between internal vs. external productions?
Gilles Fontaine, Head of the Observatory's Department for Market Information is talking trends with Carolina Lorenzon, Director, International Affairs at MFE - MEDIAFOREUROPE N.V. and Manuel Alduy, Head of Cinema and Young Adult & International Fiction at France Televisions. The session is co-moderated by Susanne Nikoltchev, Executive Director of the European Audiovisual Observatory.
