On Tuesday, 22 September 2026, the Department of Market Information organised a closed online workshop for the MAVISE network of European audiovisual regulatory authorities, focusing on the the challenges raised by the surge of new media regarding classification, definition and obligations for audiovisual services.
The workshop explored several topics to better understand how to navigate the new audiovisual media landscape:
- Classification of AV services
- Definition of AV services
- Monitoring and regulatory approaches
- Zoom in on the impact of AI – content, distribution, consumption
The workshop was closed, and participation was by personal invitation only.
