Description

Amélie Lacourt joined the Observatory’s Department for Legal Information in January 2022. She is in charge of the IRIS Newsletter, including the editing and publishing of the issues. She also liaises with and manages the network of correspondents. In addition, Amélie also contributes to the legal publications, conferences and EU-funded projects carried out by the legal department.

After obtaining a Master’s degree (LL.M.) in Space, Communication and Media Law at the University of Luxembourg, Amélie started working as an independent expert for ALIA, the Luxembourg Independent Media Authority. She worked in particular on complaints submitted to the regulator, on matters relating to video-sharing platforms and carried out various comparative studies on the state of media law in the European Union.
