VERBO Database - 30 Years of ECtHR freedom of expression case law now in a database!

Free access to VERBO here

Our new free VERBO database covers 30 years of Strasbourg’s ECtHR case law on freedom of expression.

Freedom of expression in Europe has never been more essential to the protection of our democracies and human rights. Strasbourg's European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) has served as a protective bastion for freedom of expression and has been examining violations of the European Convention on Human Rights since its entry into force in 1953. That's clearly a lot of case law to sift through!

But a new free online database has just been launched containing the ECtHR freedom of expression case law of the past thirty years.

Access it here:

https://verbo.obs.coe.int/

Verbo lets you search ECtHR case law by combining the following search criteria:

  •  Country
  •  Year
  •  Thematic keywords
  •  Outcome of the proceedings

What violations of article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights were brought before the ECtHR over the past 30 years?
VERBO has the answers! And it's free online for you!
