From 25 to 27 August 2026, Sophie Valais, our Deputy Head of Department for Legal Information, is attending Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany – the world’s largest gaming event and a major international hub for the games industry, technology and innovation.
During her visit, Sophie will attend gamescom dev, including the Legal Summit and European Games Night on 25 August, which is a dedicated programme for games lawyers, bringing together legal professionals to discuss key legal issues affecting the games industry.
On 26 August she will also take part of the VIP Game Tour.
On 27 August, Sophie will attend gamescom congress, whose programme explores how games can contribute to democracy, education, health, innovation and digital culture. Through panels, talks and international speakers, the congress examines the social relevance and innovative potential of games.
Her participation provides an opportunity to follow presentations and debates, exchange with professionals from the European games sector and build new connections across the wider audiovisual and digital industries.
